Almond Butter Fat Bombs

Updated: Dec 14, 2021

When you have a craving, often times it's because you need a little more fat in your life. I always try fat before sweets, so many of my "treats" aren't real sweet, because I'm afraid to get those taste buds stimulated again!

I've found that if I do fat when I'm craving something it usually takes care of it.

In the past I have had a major sweet tooth, like sit down and eat an entire package of double stuff Oreos in one sitting. That wasn't a one time thing either, I did that several times a year. That, or a huge bag of peanut M&Ms, or sixlets...or ice cream...I mean, I'm not picky.

Like I said major sweet tooth, so it's rather amazing that I don't really crave sweets that often anymore.

I love fat bombs, they are kind of my go to since I've been eating like this if I get a craving for something. They are quick, easy, don't make a big mess to clean up and flavor can be tweaked in so many ways.

Tips

Depending on the size of your food processor or blender that you are using, you may have to adjust the amounts to get the right consistency so that it blends and breaks down. I get a smoother consistency and better results in my Vitamix than I do my food processor with any amount. In the food processor I have to use more to keep things moving, my food processor is also a 14-16 cup, so if you have a smaller one these amounts should work well.

If you are using a Vitamix it takes about 2 minutes of blending.

If you are using a food processor it can take up to 10 minutes of blending.

Another thing you can do to help get a smoother consistency is add a little more melted coconut oil.

It should be pourable when it is done, they will set up in the fridge.

So, here ya go!

I don't add much sweetener, so feel free to add more to your taste. Enjoy:)
